Recruitment Day 2020
An introduction session about what is IET was held on 2nd March 2020 at the DEEE seminar room with the participation of the Mr. Priyanga Ambanwala, Chairman of the IET Young Professional and Dr. Sudheera Nawarathna, Senior lecture of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department, UOP and also the Senior Treasurer of the society.
This introductory session was mainly focused to give an introduction to IET society to the gathering from electrical and electronic engineering department and computer engineering department. Dr. Sudheera Nawarathna was delivered the speech to welcome the audience and our special guest Mr. Priyanga Ambanwala and gave a brief introduction of our special guest and the act of IET society in our faculty in recent years.
Then Mr. Priyanga Ambanwala, our chief guest take over the opportunity to address the gathering. First, he humbly introduces himself and his role in IET society. Then he initiated the talk with the history of IET society. Then he talked about the relationship between the IET society with the engineering world. After that, he was explicating how to join the IET society for the students who were interested to cooperate with the IET family. Finally Eng. Priyanga Ambanwala illustrated the importance of IET society and made an open request to clarify any doubts about the IET society by the Question and answer session. Then some of our colleges raised some questions and Eng. Priyanga Ambanwala has enthusiastically answered them with his knowledge.
Then the session was handed over to the Secretary for the vote of thanks. A considerable number of participants have participated in the session.
After the session end refreshment for the participants was distributed.
