About Us

The Institute of Engineering Technology(IET) as one of the global renowned engineering professional body, has volunteer groups in universities worldwide. IET On Campus University of Peradeniya(IET OC UOP) is the volunteer student body of UOP undergraduates. Undergraduates of Electrical and Electronic, Computer, Mechanical and Production Departments from Faculty of Engineering volunteer in this group. 

IET OC UOP is under the purview of IET Young Professionals – Sri Lanka(IET YP SL). IET YP SL consists of IET members under the age of 35 island wide. 

IET and its members inspire the community to innovate for a better tomorrow through its professional and educational activities. As IET On campus UoP, we are trying to inspire, inform and influence the global engineering community, supporting technology innovation to enhance our knowledge as well as to meet the needs of the society. We treat everyone with integrity and respect. In all our activities we use the power of teamwork to deliver an excellent job. Within the student chapter, volunteering and awareness provide means to gain exposure in diverse technology fields.
